Eze

Eze is a 40 minute bus ride from Nice. It's a mountain village and has incredible views of the surrounding area. It was a bit overcast when we were there, but I guess on a really clear day, you can see all the way to Corsica. A climb of a few stairs from the bus stop and town center takes you to the jardin exotique, which is a nice cactus garden with statues and ancient ruins. It also has water pumped in for waterfalls and ponds for contemplation.

The garden also had really cool pill bugs!

What we liked most about the outing, was the walk down from Eze village to Eze sur mer. It was a one hour hike along a rocky path named for Nietzsche. I guess he would walk up the path from the sea and during his walks he created some of Thus spoke Zarathustra.

We caught the train back to Nice from Eze sur mer. A successful day.
